Network 2 animates the matter of you through space. It uses primal drives like hunger, thirst, fear, and sexual desire to propel you toward and away from things. These motivational states influence your experience of reality at a deep and pervasive level. The preverbal, instinctual responses of Net 2 orient your attention, process sensory input, and coordinate unified motor movement as you explore and master the world around you.

Whether or not you were born with a great physical ability or raised in an environment designed for optimal physical movement, you can update and improve everything about your body and the way you move. While it’s important to understand how viruses in the system work and how to get rid of them, you can begin this process by learning to use yourself in a way that is graceful and powerful and prevents viruses taking hold in the first place.
Network 2 mobilizes your physical platform and raw animal drive to engage the world wherever you’ve put your attention. People with high functioning second networks move with finesse and unity, channeling their innate power through fluid and unhindered movement, with deep awareness of their body and surroundings. This type of self use leads to complete freedom of action.
Underwriting a true high-performance H.OS is a complete embodiment of the four principles. These principles have been modeled from martial masters of the highest ability, so we know they work in real world situations. Embodiment of these fundamental principles gives body based experiences upon which to build well-formedness in later dimensions of intelligence and awareness.

Muscular tension is so deeply ingrained in most people that they are astonished to learn it isn’t natural. Physical tension encourages mental tension and vice versus, which narrows your awareness. Pliable, you are more sensitive, balanced, and unified. You are present to the world around you and able to change direction with any part of the body with the smallest possible impetus, with no conscious thought or physical restriction. This kind of pliability ensures that impacts from the world will not shake your core awareness – keeping you connected to the present moment, your current goals, and operational directives.
We call self operation at its highest levels Singularity. This begins in the physical domain of Nets 1 & 2 with Body Unity. Body unity is the ultimate in proprioception, a hyper-coordination that is the culmination of balance, pliability, and sensitivity working together to properly align your body to work in the most efficient manner possible. From on balance foot placement through proper skeletal alignment and subtle muscle control you command all of your movement and ultimately yourself.
Abiding by the four principles ensures that your Center is stabilized dynamically and you have total freedom of action. This means an uninterrupted experience of your Ef as well as the raw sensate experience of the here and now. This is the optimal state for high performance – muscles familiar with the full spectrum of their well-formed movement and the boundaries of that well-formedness. This restricts any improper movement so you do not move in ways that compromises the integrity of your body. Like this your trust in your animal instincts gives way to a full bodied experience and confidence in the way you move in all situations.
Deeper than the experience of pleasure and pain is a pure awareness of Being. This essential awareness feels good in a way that is fundamentally deeper than any concepts of good or bad. Stabilizing awareness at this frequency enables you to accept and allow all animal responses without getting stuck in overly aggressive or defensive motor patterns

With chronic tension and poor self use out of the way, it’s possible to experience the primal drives of Network 2. On top of the pure body state awareness of Network 1, Network 2 runs motivation through your body as a state based experience, activating the entirety of you through a limited number of foundational drivers – the drive to eat, sleep, drink, mate, fight, and flee.
Mastering these states by learning to experience and guide them in their most pure forms is imperative. Allowing these experiences without fighting or resisting them let’s you become familiar with the fundamental elements of what moves you, before and as you’re being moved.
Degradation in N2 can lead to cravings and addictive behaviors such as alcoholism, gambling, and drug addiction, which eventually override common sense. Allowed to get out of control these drives can culminate in extreme desires with an accompanying lack of real satisfaction, creating a vicious cycle of attempted fulfillment.
On the other hand, if you ignore your instincts and desires long enough, the system will compensate by suppressing these natural urges and downgrading dopamine, which helps control movement and makes relevant objects hard to ignore. This can lead to apathy, depression, lack of motivation, and the inability to pay attention.
At the muscular level behavioral viruses are easy to contract. Your natural evolutionary response to shock, injury, or threat is for all the muscles on the front of your body to startle toward the fetal position. Similarly, a soldier-like contraction of all large back muscles occurs when engaging in proactive actions of “getting things done”. When these or other muscular tension become habitual they interrupt body unity and degrade your awareness. This loss of sensory and motor awareness due to chronic tension in your muscles is called Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA) and is a fundamental behavioral virus of Network 2.
In addition to your primal drives it is critical to learn to feel and respect your primal signals of Yes and No. Our culture is rife with people who have learned to ignore – through modeling and habit – their own deep internal cues of what is and is not a match and fit for them. Reacquainting yourself with the yes’s and no’s of your inner animal – the urges to move towards and away from people, places, and things – that come before words, reason, or rationalization, is one of the foundational keys to an optimized H.OS.
